First Blood League Round 2 - FIGHT!
    Salutations gentlemen!

In the past weeks I have been contemplating a lot do I really have the time, the energy and above all, the will to pull this thing through once again. After reflecting my experiences and the positive feedback from the first season the answer to those questions is yes, yes and YES.

I see twelve strong and mighty factions before me! The Northern Maniacs from the vast and deep forests of Finland who fight and overpower their foes with sheer madness and fury! And the Phenix Gamers of the French who are infamous for their ability to turn even the most seemingly hopeless situations into a glorious victory like a new phoenix bird rises from the ashes of its old self. What about the Pwnanza? Isn't their very name the definition of victory? Without any further due I present you the second season of the First Blood League!

There will be some major changes to how this league is run in the next season. Remember to check out the "league rules" because I added some new stuff there and crossed out old.

    Format of the league

In the previous season we used the well known tournament format called the King of the Hill or "KOTH". However, in the following season we will implement a totally new league format. It has been used before in a league called Wcolympics if you are familiar with it. I will now go through the format and explain it in detail.

Each team sends a line-up ten minutes (team managers: Note the change!) prior to the scheduled match. This line-up consists of three Challengers and one Champion. Each Challenger must be appointed to a specific map in the line-up. One clan war comprehends six BO1 matches and one BO3 match. Furthermore, a team is able to collect points ranging from zero to a maximum of seven points depending on their performance. Obviously, this means one point per match.

What are challengers and a champion? Each team appoints three challengers who will be matched against the opposing champion and vice versa. That adds up to six games in total and all of the challengers' games are BO1. Then there is still one match where the champions of each team face each other in a BO3 match. Even though it is a best of three it's counted as one point towards the total score.

      Champion A
      Challenger A1
      Challenger A2
      Challenger A3

      Champion B
      Challenger B1
      Challenger B2
      Challenger B3

      Champion A vs Challenger B1 (BO1)
      Champion A vs Challenger B2 (BO1)
      Champion A vs Challenger B3 (BO1)

      Champion B vs Challenger A1 (BO1)
      Champion B vs Challenger A2 (BO1)
      Champion B vs Challenger A3 (BO1)

      Champion A vs Champion B (BO3)

    Maps

In the previous season there was a fixed map pool and the maps and their order changed a lot each playing week. Some people thought it was good because variety keeps things interesting while others thought the burden of getting to know more unfamiliar maps was too much to bear.

In the second season there will still be a fixed map pool meaning all the maps are predetermined. However, now there will be less change. I will cut the season in half and change the maps in halfway. The following maps will be played in the league for the next six weeks!

The first challenger map: ESL Metalopolis BO1
The second challenger map: Tal'Darim Altar LE BO1
The Third challenger map: Typhon Peaks BO1

    Champion vs Champion BO3

    1st map: Pinnacle Grove
    2nd map: GSL Crevasse
    3rd map: Crossfire SE

    Admins

We have a slightly different admin crew this time around when Kumilelu is stripped off his badge of honor. His replacement is a fresh new recruit called Elzy. I will go through a little how we have shared the work load.

capu. I am still taking the main responsibility for the league and I am the guy to go to if you have got questions or suggestions. I do everything from administrating at wars to league schedule.

Divinesia. Divinesia is the second in command and is able to help you in 99% of cases. He will be doing some reports on how the clan wars have panned out, interviews (hopefully) and just basic administrating at wars checking up on teams.

Mishakal. Most of the stuff Mishakal does is being present at clan wars so he will probably become a familiar face. Mishakal will also help me at keeping the website up to date contentwise.

Elzy. Elzy will also mostly do admining at clan wars. She will also do some pieces of news and announcements because she is quite well versed in the fine art of English.

This is going to be a very interesting season and I am eager to see how the champions of the last season will fare with their new foes and challengers. Fighting is easy, what is hard is the look on your woman's face when you are a weakling. But I do not see anyone here who deserves to be called that. KAUTTA TEUTATEKSEN!
